Paraggi Beach

The best beach in the area! Sit at the same beach Brigitte Bardot and Elizabeth Taylor once frequented. Multiple private beaches offer chaises and umbrellas to rent. A small section of the beach remains public for you to bring a towel and your own picnic. Eight Hotel Paraggi offers beach front accomodations in a charming 19th century villa.

San Fruttuoso Abbey

Experience a popular hike - visit this historic Abbey nestled on the seashore and surrounded by lush Ligurian foliage. This ancient building was used by monks for centuries. After your hike, you can head down to the San Fruttuoso beach for a dip in the sea.

Explore Cinque Terre

Not too far from Portofino lays the "5 Villages," a cluster of 5 seaside villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. There is a walking trail between the villages offering the best views of the crystal blue waters and colorful towns dotting the coastline.

You can rent a variety of boats to explore the Portofino area. Opt for a gozzo boat for a traditional experience.
